KEET-TV COMMUNITY RELATIONS INTERNSHIP
KEET-TV welcomes the participation of a community relations intern whose responsibilities include developing target marketing contacts and strategies to promote a wide variety of PBS and local programs, First Thursday Film Night screenings and other outreach events. Target marketing duties include creating flyers, building relationships with local organizations and writing promotional copy. A committed intern with excellent communication skills may be assigned a project involving outreach grant writing and/or management.
Qualifications: The candidate must be a self-starter after initial instruction, interested in connecting with the local community, a good writer, possess professional phone etiquette, and have some design skills for flyers and web design. Familiarity with PBS programming is helpful. This internship is good preparation for careers in non-profit administration, grant writing, public relations, marketing, promotions, community outreach, and graphic design.
A stipend of $200 per semester is provided at the end of each semester.
